Summer program volunteer requests

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the girls this summer. We have listed below the activities that are already planned. There is always room for more! Please let us know If you would like to volunteer for these activity or any other activity.

July 12 – 16
Theme: Nature

  • Jewelry making skills for nature themed pieces
  • A tour of a working farm to see how food is grown and learn about how a farm runs

    • July 19 – 23
    Theme: International

  • Are you familiar with a country or culture?
  • Can you teach basic phrases of the language, share fun facts, prepare and eat food? Then this is a week for you.

    • July 26 - 30
    Theme: Museum of me

  • Volunteers are needed to help girls design their "exhibits".

    • August 2 – 6
    Theme: Water

  • Certified life guards and people comfortable kaying. The girls be going kayaking on the Charles several times over the summer and can we can use skilled kayakers.

    • August 9 -13
    Theme: Sports

  • Do you have connections at Red Sox nation? The girls would love a private tour of Fenway.
  • A Boston Garden tour?
  • Would you like to help in any way during sports week?

    August 16 -20
    Theme: Animal

  • A huge THANK YOU! to Indian Meadow Farm for inviting all the Germaine Lawrence girls for a farm tour and to learn about and ride horses.
  • We are still looking for volunteers with SEWING skills to assist in making decorative pillows with animal themes.

    August 23 – 26
    Theme: Hollywood

  • Do you have dress-up clothes?
  • Are you a talented make-up artist, hair stylist, photographer?
    •   The girls are going to be exploring their ideas of Hollywood glamour and can use your help.
