Comprehensive assessment services are available for adolescent girls at the Merck Center. Our suburban location is ideal for those girls for whom a wilderness program is not appropriate.
Our diagnostic evaluations are tailored to each individual girls’ needs and are designed to provide clear and thorough treatment recommendations. Our experienced staff ensure that families, consultants and other professionals have a full understanding of the presenting issues and most appropriate next steps.
Our assessments include:
- Psychosocial assessment
- Cognitive evaluations
- Substance abuse evaluations
- Psychiatric medication evaluations
- Psychological and neuropsychological testing
- Trauma evaluations
- Eating disorder risk and needs assessment
- CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment)
Our program features:
- Intensive family engagement, including and in-home and onsite family coaching, as well as other family supports.
- Flexible lengths of stay
- Strength-based milieu therapy, teaching skills and self control strategies
- Innovate, comprehensive clinical services, including individual, group and family therapy
- Focus on meeting the educational needs of each girl, either through our onsite day program, community school when appropriate, onsite tutoring or continuity with school work sent by the home school. Our educational services are led by a certified teacher.
