About Germaine Lawrence

Germaine Lawrence offers nationally recognized treatment designed for girls ages 12-18 with complex behavioral, psychological and learning challenges.

We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation, approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.

Located in a shady residential neighborhood in Arlington, MA, just minutes from Boston and Cambridge, our campus provides a supportive, safe haven for girls who have been making choices that interfere with their family life, academic progress, and social development. The Merck Center, a private program for girls from across the country, is located just outside the main campus.

In addition to our residential programs, we offer the only therapeutic day school licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early and Secondary Education that exclusively serves girls. We are also well known for our comprehensive family support services, including family therapy both in-home and on-site, parent support groups and family coaching and training.

Germaine Lawrence has an impressive track record helping girls who have resisted treatment in other settings. Our research shows that over 80% of the girls we serve successfully complete their treatment goals in less than twelve months. Moreover, our outcome studies show that about 90% of these girls continue to do well for at least one year after discharge.
